Battle of Yorktown
This battle took place in yorktown, virginia. This was an important town for the british because it was a supplie port. The deadly battle was two months long from August 30 - October 19 1781.George Washington and the French teamed up to have 15,000 soldiers. Cornwallis had 7,000 soldiers in the battle.
The French block the british supplies and land retreat. Cornwallis surrendered to George washington because they were surround and low on troopes which ended the war. If Cornwallis never surrendered we could still be ruled by British and the war would be going on.
